Inventorying the Stash

I’ve been putting it off for awhile, but I finally had to buckle down and do an inventory of my yarn stash. I have at least 3 66qt bins full of yarn, and lots of Christmas presents to start. I have vowed to not buy any new yarn unless I really, really (really!) need it. So I spent a couple of hours last night cataloging and photographing my stash into Ravelry. I only got through 2 bins before I came across the yarn hoarders nightmare.

A TANGLED MESS!!!

I managed to rescue all the good yarn from the tangled mess, but also threw a bunch of it away. This was on the top of the 3rd bin so I’m leaving that one for  tonight. Here’s a quick snapshot of what I went through tonight.
